Ravneet Bittu has been allocated the Food Processing ministry, will he be able to bring in any real change? Notably, this ministry was earlier held by Harsimrat Badal.
Shiromani Akali Dal won Anandpur Sahib in 1997, but since then it has never been able to take this seat again. The party has often depended on alliances instead of putting up strong candidates of its own. In 2022, the SAD–BSP alliance fielded Nutan Kumar (Nitin Nanda), who later joined AAP in 2024. With 2027 coming up, will SAD finally choose a strong, independent, and locally popular candidate for Anandpur Sahib, or will it again repeat its old pattern of weak choices and alliance dependence?
