2022 ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ (SAD) ਦੇ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਚੱਠਾ ਨੇ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਹਲਕੇ ‘ਚ ਸਿਰਫ 19,996 ਵੋਟਾਂ (13.49%) ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ AAP ਦੇ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਮੋਹਿਤ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਹੇ। ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਹਲਕੇ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਕੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਿਆ, ਪਰ ਹਰ ਚੋਣ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਹੁਣ 2027 ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਵੱਡਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ਕੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਬਿੱਟੂ ਚੱਠਾ ‘ਤੇ ਦਾਅ ਲਗਾਏਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਮੰਨ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਕਦੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ?
