Sucha Ram Ladhar contested the Gill Assembly seat on a BJP ticket in 2022 and secured 12,801 votes (6.95%), keeping the party well behind AAP, SAD and Congress. While BJP remains a smaller player in Gill, it has been trying to slowly build its presence at the local level.
