Rana Gurjeet Singh has remained a strong and influential face in Punjab politics, known for his financial clout, independent style, and ability to stay relevant despite controversies. A senior leader of Indian National Congress, he has a solid electoral record and is currently serving as MLA from Kapurthala, maintaining a strong ground base. At the same time, many Congress workers in Punjab are not very comfortable with his style of politics, raising questions about his wider acceptance within the party.
