Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has disputed the Centre’s position and listed several meetings where the RDF issue was raised. But here’s the real question: with both sides blaming each other over Punjab’s funds, is the Centre–Punjab funding fight becoming another political shield before the 2027 election, where every financial problem can simply be pushed onto the other side ?

But after nearly five years in office, accountability increasingly falls on the current Government. When AAP asks for another term, can it still blame the past or does 2027 make the Mann Government responsible for Punjab’s present ?
