As the Punjab Government announces yet another SIT into the sacrilege cases, Shiromani Akali Dal leader Parambans Singh Romana has accused the AAP Government of politicising one of Punjab's most sensitive issues instead of ensuring justice. Years have passed, Governments have changed and investigations have been reconstituted, yet closure remains elusive. This raises a larger question: Has the sacrilege issue become more about political narratives than delivering justice ? When every election brings fresh promises and every Government forms a new SIT, is Punjab moving closer to the truth, or merely reopening old wounds ?
पंजाब सरकार द्वारा बेअदबी मामलों की जांच के लिए एक बार फिर नई एस.आई.टी. गठित किए जाने के बाद, शिरोमणि अकाली दल के नेता परमबंस सिंह रोमाना ने आरोप लगाया है कि आम आदमी पार्टी सरकार न्याय सुनिश्चित करने के बजाय पंजाब के सबसे संवेदनशील मुद्दों में से एक का राजनीतिकरण कर रही है। वर्षों बीत गए, सरकारें बदलीं, जांच एजेंसियाँ बदलीं, लेकिन आज भी अंतिम न्याय का इंतज़ार बना हुआ है। ऐसे में बड़ा सवाल यह है: क्या बेअदबी का मुद्दा अब न्याय दिलाने से ज़्यादा राजनीतिक नैरेटिव गढ़ने का माध्यम बन गया है ? जब हर चुनाव के साथ नए वादे और हर सरकार के साथ नई एस.आई.टी. बनती है, तो क्या पंजाब सच के करीब पहुँच रहा है या फिर पुराने ज़ख्म ही बार-बार हरे किए जा रहे हैं ?

Amid growing efforts to bring together Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit), Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De), Akali Dal (United) and other Panthic groups, a bigger question arises: Could a Panthic Mega Alliance become the dark horse of the 2027 elections by uniting a scattered vote bank ? Or will leadership ambitions, the Chief Ministerial face, seat-sharing disputes and old rivalries once again ensure that Panthic unity remains a dream rather than a decisive political force ?
