Buses standing idle, terminals shut, and passengers stranded, Punjab’s transport system has slipped into chaos again. Contractual employees of Punjab Roadways and PRTC are on strike against the Kilometre Scheme, which they argue hands Government routes to private operators and threatens existing jobs, wages, and the future of public transport. And yet, AAP continues to boast about reforms and new schemes, painting a picture of smooth governance. While workers protest and the transport network collapses, where are Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his Transport Minister, fixing the problem or preparing another press conference?
