Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring questioned the optics of Amit Shah’s BJP rally, pointing out that several leaders sitting on the stage including Sunil Kumar Jakhar, Preneet Kaur, Manpreet Singh Badal, Ravneet Singh Bittu and Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, built their political careers in the Congress before joining the BJP. With Shah strongly attacking the Congress from the same stage, Warring remarked that the criticism was effectively directed at leaders who themselves once represented the party. When a rally attacking Congress features a stage dominated by former Congress leaders, does it create an awkward political paradox for the BJP in Punjab ?
पंजाब कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष अमरिंदर सिंह राजा वड़िंग ने अमित शाह की भाजपा रैली के मंच की स्थिति पर सवाल उठाते हुए कहा कि मंच पर बैठे कई नेता, सुनील कुमार जाखड़, प्रनीत कौर, मनप्रीत सिंह बादल, रवनीत सिंह बिट्टू और राणा गुरमीत सिंह सोढी, पहले कांग्रेस में रहकर ही अपनी राजनीतिक पहचान बना चुके हैं और बाद में भाजपा में शामिल हुए। ऐसे में जब उसी मंच से शाह कांग्रेस पर तीखा हमला कर रहे थे, तो वड़िंग ने कहा कि यह आलोचना उन नेताओं पर भी लागू होती है जो कभी उसी पार्टी का हिस्सा रहे हैं। जब कांग्रेस पर हमला करने वाली रैली के मंच पर ही पूर्व कांग्रेस नेताओं की संख्या अधिक दिखाई दे, तो क्या यह पंजाब में भाजपा के लिए एक अजीब राजनीतिक विरोधाभास पैदा करता है ?
