Narayan Singh Narsot has been quietly holding charge as BJP’s in-charge in Shutrana, even as the party has stayed absent from the electoral fight here for years. With AAP dominant and Congress–Akali locked in familiar battles, BJP’s silence has been as noticeable as its ambition to expand in Punjab. As 2027 approaches, does Shutrana finally see BJP step onto the ballot with Narsot as its face or does his role remain limited to groundwork without a real electoral push ? And if BJP keeps waiting, does absence risk turning into irrelevance in this constituency ?
नारायण सिंह नरसोत पिछले कुछ समय से शुतराना में भाजपा के इंचार्ज की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं, जबकि पार्टी वर्षों से इस सीट पर चुनावी मुकाबले से दूर रही है। एक ओर आम आदमी पार्टी का दबदबा है और दूसरी ओर कांग्रेस-अकाली की जानी-पहचानी टक्कर, ऐसे में भाजपा की चुप्पी उतनी ही चर्चा में है जितनी पंजाब में विस्तार की उसकी महत्वाकांक्षा। 2027 नज़दीक आते ही सवाल उठता है, क्या शुतराना में भाजपा आखिरकार नरसोत को अपना चेहरा बनाकर मैदान में उतरेगी या उनकी भूमिका संगठन तक ही सीमित रहेगी ? और अगर भाजपा इंतज़ार करती रही, तो क्या यह गैर-मौजूदगी धीरे-धीरे अप्रासंगिकता में बदल सकती है ?
