Raja Warring had earlier said that if Congress fields him in the Punjab Assembly elections, he would prefer to take on Bhagwant Mann. But Warring is currently the Ludhiana Lok Sabha MP, and moving to the Assembly would mean giving up his Lok Sabha seat. That raises an interesting political question for the Warring family: If Raja Warring moves to Punjab politics, could Amrita Warring take up the Lok Sabha challenge and keep the family’s parliamentary presence alive, much like the Badal family ?
