Former Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal is celebrating what he calls a “major victory” for Gidderbaha, the approval letter for a Railway Overbridge (RoB) and a Railway Underbridge (RUB) worth ₹80 Crores. He thanked the entire Delhi durbar, Ravneet Bittu, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and even PM Modi, as if Gidderbaha has suddenly become the Centre’s favourite child. But residents haven’t forgotten that they had to protest for 33 days just to get basic railway connectivity demands heard, and that these very promises were loudly made during the bypoll campaign last year. Is this approval a true achievement for Gidderbaha, or is it simply a perfectly timed political “gift,” designed to polish Manpreet’s declining political relevance and give BJP a development headline before 2027 ?

Suggestions - SLAH

A) Manpreet may try to project this as proof that only he can bring “big development” to Gidderbaha.

B) BJP could be turning a routine administrative approval into a political trophy.

C) Gidderbaha residents may feel development came only after agitation, not leadership.

D) The announcement may sound grand today, but actual construction could still take years.

ਸਾਬਕਾ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ 80 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਓਵਰਬ੍ਰਿਜ (RoB) ਅਤੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਅੰਡਰਬ੍ਰਿਜ (RUB) ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਿੱਦੜਬਾਹਾ ਲਈ “ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ” ਵਜੋਂ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਰਵਨੀਤ ਬਿੱਟੂ, ਅਸ਼ਵਿਨੀ ਵੈਸ਼ਣਵ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਗਿੱਦੜਬਾਹਾ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਲਕਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ। ਪਰ ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲੇ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਲਈ 33 ਦਿਨ ਧਰਨਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਗਿੱਦੜਬਾਹਾ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਇੱਕ “ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਤੋਹਫ਼ਾ”, ਜੋ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਘਟਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਪਕੜ ਨੂੰ ਚਮਕਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੂੰ 2027 ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੁਰਖੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ?
