With Navjot Kaur Sidhu claiming that the Punjab CM’s chair costs ₹500 crore, DK Shivakumar telling her to “get admitted to a mental hospital,” and Charanjit Singh Channi jumping in to say “I didn’t even give ₹5 to become CM,” the Punjab Congress now looks less like a political party and more like a daily soap where every leader exposes the other. Infighting, accusations, counter-accusations, Congress appears to be digging its own pit for 2027, long before voters get a chance to do it. So the real question is: How can Congress hope to win Punjab in 2027 when its own leaders are busy destroying each other ?

A) Congress leaders are so busy undercutting each other that they’ve forgotten voters exist.

B) Every controversy becomes a Congress vs Congress fight, giving rivals a free advantage.

C) Channi’s “₹5” remark only deepens the impression that Congress is confused, divided, and directionless.

D) At this rate, Congress may lose 2027 not because of AAP or BJP, but because its own leaders are digging the pit they will fall into.

ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣ ’ਤੇ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਦੀ “ਕੀਮਤ ₹500 ਕਰੋੜ” ਹੈ, ਡੀ.ਕੇ. ਸ਼ਿਵਕੁਮਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ “ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋਣ” ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦੇਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਕਿ “ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ₹5 ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ", ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਹੁਣ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਘੱਟ ਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਟੀ.ਵੀ. ਧਾਰਾਵਾਹਿਕ ਵੱਧ ਲੱਗ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਲੀਡਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਬੇਨਕਾਬ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਲੜਾਈ, ਦੋਸ਼–ਪਰਤੀਦੋਸ਼, ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਤਾਂ 2027 ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਬਰ ਪੱਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਤਾ ਹੀ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਡੁਬਾਉਣ ’ਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਣ ਤਾਂ 2027 ਜਿੱਤਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ?
